How many people should we have to qualify as a group?
A minimum of 40, including non-performers for all STARS Performance Programs (not including Workshops).
A minimum of 40 performers for Sound Design: Music and The Art of Foley Workshop.
20 Participants for Dance Is UNIVERSAL! A Workshop with the Professionals.
Note: The number of chaperons cannot exceed the number of youth.
Is there a cost to perform?
There is no cost to perform, but a ticket purchase is required to participate.
What is the ticket requirement to perform?
For groups outside the state of Florida, a 2-Day Park-to-Park ticket is required. For groups within Florida, a minimum of a 1-Day Park-to-Park ticket is required.
Is there an application fee?
There is no fee to perform, but your group must complete the STARS Performance Application and submit all requested materials, including a video of your performance.
Is there a cost for Stars Workshops?
There is an additional cost to participate in our Sound Design and Dance is UNIVERSAL workshop.
What are the participation requirements?
A video of your intended performance is required for your application to be reviewed. We will not review an application without this video. You should be in the uniform or costume you intend to wear during the performance. If your group is not wearing the intended costume, a color photo of the group in costume or uniform is required. Digital videos and photos can be included with the STARS application submission.
What should our group wear?
Performances: All performers must be in uniform or in costume as appropriate. During spring and summer months, bands may substitute wool uniforms with alternative uniforms, such as matching shirts with collars and matching pants. Jeans and t-shirts are not permitted.
Workshops: Uniforms are not required for Workshops and will be up to the discretion of the group’s director. For Dance Workshops students are required to wear (or bring) appropriate dance attire (i.e. shoes, clothing, etc.).
How long is the marching route?
The route varies, but it is no longer than 1 mile in length.
How long are the stage performances?
Your group will have 30 minutes to perform on our Universal CityWalk™ Lagoon Stage.
Does the STARS Performance Program provide any instruments?
A list of the instruments available can be found on our application.
Our group performed at Universal Orlando™ last year, do we need to re-apply?
You need to apply for every visit.
When are the Performance/Workshop times?
Performance and Workshops times vary, but we begin at 10:00am. You will receive your exact performance time approximately 3 weeks prior to your performance date.
How long are the Workshops?
Dance is UNIVERSAL! A Workshop with the Professionals - The entire workshop experience will last approximately 3 hours.
Sound Design: Music and The Art of Foley - The entire workshop experience will last approximately 90 minutes.
